Discovering Rio de Janeiro

Travelling is the way to understand and discover the different culture of people all over the world. One place that is really rich both in culture and tourist attractions is the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rio de Janeiro is second of the largest cities in Brazil and is legendary for its breath-taking landscapes, nonchalant peculiar beaches, and of course the annual Samba Carnival.

Rio de Janeiro has been tagged as one of the Seven Wonders of the World which features the spectacular view of the Sugar Loaf Mountain, Corcovado Peak, and the hills of TIjuca. These three amazing spots worked geographically to display a splendid image that will surely take your breath away. The city has also magnificent beaches which includes Copacabana and Ipanema. Sights like Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer), the Maracaña stadium, and of course the fun and grand Carnaval has made the city to be known as the cidade maravilhosa (marvellous city).

Rio has also been made famous for the iphone game Angry Birds and the movie Angry Birds Rio. Rio is place where people see a very rich culture, a place where the colors are very much alive and the people who are well, really good-looking.

It would be great if you visit the place in a perfect timing. Of course, you should be able to catch the Carnaval to make that travel really worth it. The Carnival consists of parade on the streets, highlights the creation of floats by the Brazilian people. You will also appreciate how the Brazilian women are capable of wearing those sexy dresses and dance gracefully. When you hear that music, you can also dance you heart out and just get carried away with that fun moment.

If you are planning to visit Rio for the next coming years, you might want to check schedules and book flights on the next 2-4 years from now, because Rio is hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup games and in 2016, the Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
